The estate is located near the small village of Mastiano, which is 10 Km north of LUCCA, in the hills above the town of PONTE A MORIANO.
To the north lie the Appennine mountains, the Natural Park, the medieval town of Barga and the renowned spa town of Bagni di Lucca, - all within one hours drive.
To the west lie the beach towns of Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi.
To the south is the beautiful walled city of Lucca, the centre of a region famous for its wine and olive oil.
Henry James says of Lucca in his diary…………”with its wide garden-land, its ancient appanage, teeming and blooming with everything that is good and pleasant for man………”
Florence is forty miles away by motorway, and Pisa airport, from which there are frequent and regular flights to London, is thirty miles away.
